A tally board that adapts to the product

The board renders each product's whole grade band — as a familiar tally sheet when the band is narrow, as a weight grid when it's wide. The scale reads 743 g → row 700, column 40, one tap.

Heat builds where the pan is landing, badges keep the exact count, and a fish logged with a defect flags its own mark. The board never rounds evidence — exact grams are always what's recorded.

One transparent score per pan

Every pan starts at 100 and earns deductions — fish outside the grade, insufficient glaze, mixed species, pack pattern, pack weight. The same formulas your QC workbook uses today, computed live the moment the inspector finishes the pan.

Every score shows its work. Each deduction is traceable to its source — the product catalogue, the inspector's measurement, or the fixed rule. A reading that was never taken is recorded as not measured, never silently counted as a pass or a fail.

Common questions

The questions every fleet asks first.

We have no internet at sea. Is that a problem?

No — it's the design assumption. Everything runs on the vessel's own network. The cloud is only involved when connectivity returns.

What hardware do we need to buy?

Usually none. The server runs on the existing vessel computer; stations are ordinary touchscreens or tablets running a browser.

Can records be edited after the fact?

Never silently. Corrections are voids with a recorded reason, and every change lands in the tamper-evident audit trail.

Does it replace our eLogbook?

No. OLRAC / Deckhand keep owning regulatory catch reporting. Stockhelm QC replaces the Excel QA workbook beside it.

How much training will crews need?

Very little. One guided flow per inspection, in the inspector's own language (EN / ES / TL), designed for gloved hands on a moving deck.

Can we grow into it later?

Yes. Additional vessels, inspector stations, and admin seats can be added at any time — every vessel runs the same way, independently.

What if the vessel computer fails mid-trip?

Vessels can carry an identical spare box; stations re-point to it. Ashore, the cloud archive holds everything from the last sync.

Whose numbers are these — yours or ours?
